Pink is punk and Pop Punk will never die. The Offspring still tour, Blink 182 and Avril Lavigne are back better than ever and a whole troupe of new artists are taking the scene by storm.

One of these is UK singer Danny Wright who has completely captured the zeitgeist of the genre, and been featured on BBC Music Introducing and RadioX.

Clearly inspired by Machine Gun Kelly (but better in my opinion), this London based artist just played a fantastic show at the The Grace in Islington.

The whole package of this genre with fast drums, fast guitar, clean vocals and intense lyrics with just the correct amount of attitude, theres no reason to miss this guys work.

Along side his original music there are cover songs that are made his own. The cover of Post Malone’s “Wow” and Avril Lavigne’s new song “Bite Me” are two stand outs.

As far as original music goes after a good weekend of exploring his catalogue, there are a whole bunch of gems.

Most recently “Wishing Is Easy” is a fantastic track, with great structure and lyrics that will hit home with any punk/alt person.

If you want a powerful song to listen and chill out to, check out “L.As Raining”.

These songs are accompanied either by a brilliantly edited lyric video or by a traditional music video. Like his music these videos are unique and a lot of fun to watch.

I could go on for another few hundred words about each song and how good they are, but it will be easier to show you.

So follow the links below to Danny Wright and show some love, and watch this space for more stories/reviews/articles in the future.
