Review Time-Supersonic Fuzz Gun
Supersonic Fuzz Gun (incredible name) will take a spot on any “bands to watch list” in the Midlands area, bringing huge energy to the punk, post-punk and indie scene.

2023 saw the release of their EP ‘Tone Death’, a selection of tracks designed to show off the kind of energy the band gives off in person.
To anyone reading that’s not fully immersed in the music world and all of its lingo, the word ‘crunchy’ wont make a huge amount of sense, but the EP is just that…crunchy.
Track 1 of the EP is ‘What’s The Big Idea’ following the structure of pure Post-Punk, high intensity, dirty tones and sprechgesang (yes, I got a B in Music GCSE) which is the posh word for the shouted lyrics found in punk music.
The band says its main influence comes from The Libertine Pixies, but once you start listening, you’ll start hearing other influences like Oasis/Blur/Radiohead.
Track 2 ‘Funny Picture’ brings the intensity down blending Indie and Post-Punk ideas and is the track that shows the obvious Blur and Radiohead influences.
The band’s sound means it’s a real shame that Tony Hawk doesn’t make games anymore. Supersonic Fuzz Guns sound would fit perfectly.
Track 3 is the title track ‘Tone Death’ and is yet another fantastic track from this young band. Open up this link here in another tab from a live performance at one of Worcesters music venues Firefly.
The EP ends with ‘Mr Chlorine’ a track that shows off the singers voice and range in this style and is a brilliant way to end the EP.
Talented beyond their years, and surely to be one to watch coming out of this area in the next few years after already performing at the Worcester Music Festival in the last couple of years, the 02 Institute in Birmingham as well as other music venues like Paradiddles and The Sunflower Lounge.
