Nakedium the hard rock band from the incredible streets of Brighton, released their second single from their new album in February, both of which are called ‘Why Do You Hate me?’

Keep reading to see Frowned Upon’s thoughts on this track.

A true callback to that old school hard rock style. Theres powerful harsh vocals with a head banging beat and full synchronistic between all the instruments.

Isolating each part whether it would be vocals, bass, drums or guitar you can see how they all lead in together and really make you feel the song.

The intensity drops in each verse to focus on the lyrics before building into a harsher chorus that would most definitely make this like an anthem for a live crowd.

Vocally I can hear possible influences from Disturbed singer David Draiman, and the changes from verse to chorus as something akin to All That Remains.

Also as a side note for me towards the end of the song Nakedium hit you with completely isolated vocals, with the rest of the band kicking in at the end of the line. This is a feature that really hits, and I feel is underutilised.

The video for this song which i’ll link below also fits well, a nicely produced raw video of each member playing in what looks like a garage. Falling in Reverse puts out videos that are like short films but as the saying goes sometimes less is more, and I think this video really portrays the style and the message of the song as a whole.

In a sentence this is a band with a great style that from each band-members part to the lyrics and video moulds together perfectly.

Finally being from my favourite place on Earth Brighton gives me yet another reason to go back and check these guys out.

Check them out across all streaming platforms and let me know down below what you think.

Cheers
