Sea of Thieves-Swashbuckling into Season 7
Season 7 of the Sea of Thieves has dropped with servers now teaming with players again after the latest update. This free update adds the ability to buy, become captain and customize multiple of your own ships, to venture out off the edge of the map, as well as a new trading company known as ‘The Sovereigns’.
The captaincy part of this update allows players to buy their own sloop, brigandine or galleon. The customisation includes the ability to decorate and save your ships overall look, rather than selecting each design every time you set sail, for a price of course.
On top of this new captains voyages are unlocked, to be bought from the “shipwrights”.
The sophisticated Sovereigns act similar to the Reaper, meaning treasure from any other trading company can be sold to them with only a small amount not being accepted.
Downsides are that only do customizations stay every time, so does any damage you have received, this can be repaired for a small amount at the harbour master. Damage will be expected as with more people playing again leads to more pvp.
To give my piece of eight this update, which dropped on August 4th, fixes a lot of problems people have had since the games release, for no cost other than scouring coastlines and following treasure maps.
