Bowser from Super Mario:

As the primary antagonist in the possibly the most well-known franchise the Super Mario series. Bowser is known for his relentless pursuit of power and his numerous attempts to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom. His kidnappings of Princess Peach and his goomba minions make him a formidable foe. Full of classic villain tropes with a slightly whimsical twist.

Reyes from Red Dead Redemption:

Possibly the least known on this list. As John Marston you head down to Mexico to find 2 members of your old gang, while doing that you end up on both sides of a revolution. Reyes represents the epitome of corruption and greed in the world of Red Dead Redemption. As a cunning and manipulative figure, he leverages his influence to further his own interests at the expense of others. His betrayal of John Marston and his ruthless methods in pursuing power make him a memorable antagonist in the game’s narrative. He also is blatantly cheating on Louisa…one of the only nice characters in the whole game.

Myrrah from Gears of War:

Myrrah emerges as a formidable antagonist in the Gears of War series, leading the Locust Horde in their relentless assault on humanity. She is more of a sympathetic character when you get the whole backstory of childhood experimentation but with her cold and calculating demeanour and with her only war plan being genocide, she embodies the ruthlessness and brutality of war, making her a symbol of terror and destruction in the eyes of the game’s protagonists.

Caesar from Fallout:

New Vegas: in a nuclear devastated world full of raiders and wrong doers you have to be something special to top the list. Caesar, leader of the group known as Caesar’s Legion, represents tyranny and oppression in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout: New Vegas. As the leader of a brutal and authoritarian regime, he imposes his will through fear and violence, seeking to conquer and subjugate all who oppose him. His expansionist ambitions and ruthless methods make him a feared and despised figure in the wasteland. Like the Roman Empire the group is based on, they either assimilate or enslave defeated tribes into their ranks.

Hitler from Wolfenstein:

now I am fairly sure the journalistic integrity of calling things down the middle and being unbiased don’t extend to Hitler. In the Wolfenstein series, Hitler like in real life is a portrayal of ultimate embodiment of evil, leading the Nazi regime in its quest for world domination. With his megalomaniacal ambitions and genocidal ideology, he serves as the primary antagonist, embodying the darkest aspects of human history and the fight against tyranny and oppression.
