Sid, The Master and Ruler of the World has passed

Sidney Eudy, better known to wrestling fans as Sid Justice, Sid Vicious, and Sycho Sid, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 63. Born on December 16, 1960, Eudy left an indelible mark on professional wrestling. He carved out a legacy that spanned decades, as well as being a personal favourite of Frowned Upon. This news broke following a post made by his son Gunnar Eudy.
Sid had a fantastic charisma about him, he was captivating to a huge extent and a true pleasure to watch on screen, and will continue to be for years to come. One of the best things about this industry is that after the legends and icons pass to time…their legacy will continue.

Eudy’s wrestling career began in the mid-1980s, where he quickly rose to fame in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and later in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). With his towering physique, intense persona, and magnetic charisma, he became a standout figure in a world filled with larger-than-life personalities.
Throughout his remarkable career, Eudy became a six-time world champion, holding the WWF Championship twice and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice. Additionally, he claimed the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship on two separate occasions.
In addition to his world title reigns, Eudy’s accomplishments include winning the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship and headlining some of the biggest wrestling events in history. He was a true main-event fixture,
Some of the headline matches were WrestleMania VIII and WrestleMania 13, two of WWE’s most iconic events. His memorable match against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VIII in 1992 and his fierce rivalry with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 13 in 1997 are moments that will remain etched in the minds of wrestling fans worldwide.

Eudy also made a significant impact in WCW, where he headlined Starrcade in 2000, further cementing his reputation as one of the top attractions in professional wrestling during the 1990s and early 2000s. His ability to effortlessly switch between hero and villain roles endeared him to fans and showcased his versatility as a performer.
However, Eudy’s career was not without challenges. In 2001, he suffered a devastating leg injury during a WCW event, which ultimately brought an end to his full-time wrestling career. Following this he showed up at various shows and even returned to WWE for a legends contest against Heath Slater. Surely a well deserved place in the WWE Hall of Fame is soon to come.
Frowned Upon joins countless others in extending their condolences to the whole family and wrestling community.
