ICON Jeff Beck has sadly passed away
Yardbird legend Jeff Beck has passed at the age of 78.
A representitive of the family said he passed “after suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis.”
Described by Rolling Stone as “one of the most influential guitarists in rock” placing at number 5 in their list of 100 greatest guitarists.
He was a 2 time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, 1st as a Yardbird in ’92 and again as a solo artist in ’09.
Even suffering from tinnitus, leading to a slower recording process, managed to create 2 platinum records and 8 gold records.
‘Blow by Blow’ is an incredible album, the stand out song being ‘Diamond Dust’. The song is a texbook example of how a guitar should be played.
His career of over 60 decades led to him producing over 30 albums.
Recently he featured on Ozzy Osbourne’s album ‘Patient Number 9’. Jeff himself featured on the albums feature song (Patient Number 9) as well as ‘A Thousand Shades’.
Condolences have been sent out from Ozzy, ZZ Top and Joe Perry (Aerosmith) along with countless more.
