A Story for Another day-The Final Chapter of The Storyteller
An absolute legend…the voice of my childhood…The Storyteller himself Jason Damron has unfortunately passed away. This news has came to us from social media from his daughter, that he passed from adrenal cancer.
He is best known for being the power-armoured spinner of stories and teller of tales on Shoddycast’s hugely popular Fallout:Lore series, the Fallout: Brotherhood quest MOD, a Fallout podcast, as well as being a voice in Age of Empires 2. The lore videos eventually evolved into a full fledged drama.
It is said that you die twice, once when you die and again when your name is spoken for the last time. The entertaining and extensive nature of the videos will continue to live on and inspire those fans who come after us.
Shoddycast has released a huge supercut of every clip of Fallout Lore in his honour…and it is an honour. For most Fallout fans his voice is instantly recognisable, and any mention or meme will surely be read with his iconic voice playing in your head. His iconic armour traversed the Capital Wasteland of Fallout 3, the ruins of New Vegas in Fallout: New Vegas, saw new horizons in Fallout 4
The team at Shoddycast have released a beautiful selection of eulogies at the start of that supercut which truly bring a tear to the eye. They have also posted a link to the ACC CURE cancer charity which can be found here.
