Yardbird\u00a0legend Jeff Beck has passed at the age of 78.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A representitive of the family said he passed \u201cafter suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Described by Rolling Stone<\/em> as \u201cone of the most influential guitarists in rock\u201d placing at number 5 in their list of 100 greatest guitarists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was a 2 time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, 1st<\/sup> as a Yardbird in \u201992 and again as a solo artist in \u201909. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even suffering from tinnitus, leading to a slower recording process, managed to create 2 platinum records and 8 gold records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Blow by Blow\u2019 is an incredible album, the stand out song being \u2018Diamond Dust\u2019. The song is a texbook example of how a guitar should be played. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His career of over 60 decades led to him producing over 30 albums. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently he featured on Ozzy Osbourne\u2019s album \u2018Patient Number 9\u2019. Jeff himself featured on the albums feature song (Patient Number 9) as well as \u2018A Thousand Shades\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Condolences have been sent out from Ozzy, ZZ Top and Joe Perry (Aerosmith) along with countless more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
