A dark adventure side-scroller that still contains a sense of vibrancy and is heavily inspired by fables, fairy tales and parables of old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This upcoming title is being developed by thqnordic, who are known for Destroy All Humans, Wreckfest and Desperados. Eternal Life of Goldman Producer Andreas Schmiedecker, spoke to the legend that is Eurogamers Ian Higton, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3twfw-oV9DM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">IGN Day 2 Livestream<\/a>. He discussed the main character, the art style and if AI was used at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"828\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_1531.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-619\" srcset=\"https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_1531.webp 828w, https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_1531-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_1531-768x432.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 828px) 100vw, 828px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">-Eternal Life of Goldman Official Site<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ian asked, <strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cThe Eternal Life of Goldman stars a very old man, and its not often you see old men as protagonist of video games, can you tell us about Goldman?\u201d <\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andreas Schmiedecker, <strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cusually you don\u2019t get old protagonists, but it feels like you are the character of an old fable or a parable, where an old man would outsmart his enemies, which is special.\u201d <\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eternal Life of Goldman producer was asked if the game was going to be a horror, <strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cit\u2019s not going to be a horror game but there is a bizarreness and a weirdness to it with the themes of fables and fairytales. So, it won&#8217;t be a horror, but it will have dark elements.\u201d <\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ian asked <strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cone of the things that stands out is the visual style of this game, it looks hand drawn but I\u2019ve heard the team is small. Did they use any AI in the process?\u201d <\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andreas replied, <em><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cThere is no AI in the game. It really is people sat at their desks for days, weeks, months even a year to finish the game, so it is first by hand then use their tools to bring it to life.\u201d <\/mark><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong><em>\u201cYou could tell AI to do something like this but that level of detail and how it all fits together and works as a game\u2026AI couldn\u2019t do that\u2026not in 20 years.
