I booked an Air bnb in the middle of no where for 4 days when all I did was write, read and paint with my phone no where near me.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cThe song was written from a perspective similar to <strong>John Lennons<\/strong> give peace a chance. It almost feels like a rhetorical question where it is a statement rather than a question.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cThe theme of the song is very much about that guilt from doing well in adversity and feeling like you&#8217;re thriving even when maybe you shouldn\u2019t be or haven\u2019t been recently, whilst still reflectively asking yourself, if you could go back to before you knew differently, would you?\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cI\u2019m very proud of this song as it\u2019s one of my most introspective to date.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#df2082\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Was there anything in paticular that inspired you to write a more stripped back song?<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a41091da0dd75230db88cbf689569d74\">\u201cIt was stripped back due to firstly logistical reasons and secondly being to deliver the track in the nature it was written.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-43a841150aed6a3e623d2b5f371087b3\">\u201cThat is the reason I feel it feels as vulnerable as anything I\u2019ve done only potentially second to <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">\u2018fixated\u2019<\/mark> which was on the second EP.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Fixated\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CxyluKaagbc?list=OLAK5uy_kkphDH77yu1nPSjeGTOzyMwi3_TxKB7ng\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#df2082\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Are there any more songs in the pipeline?<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cIn terms of anymore songs in the pipeline, it was potentially going to be posted as the final one under this name as I look to maybe do things differently in the future. But I don\u2019t think I could ever fully rule out releasing songs via this medium as it\u2019s been my main creative outlet and platform since I was 20.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cHaving done music under the name <strong>MARC<\/strong> for 6 years, I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever stop releasing under that umbrella even if I do go on to start different projects in the future.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#df2082\" class=\"has-inline-color\">What do you think is the biggest challenge faced by artists and creators at the moment?<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cThe biggest challenges an artist currently faces is the current dynamic in which music is consumed.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cTo constantly have social media content around your releases and to have a constant release stream of singles as not to be forgotten is more detrimental to the financial dealing of a project as well as being a creative drain on the artists. All to then be paid 0.00000001p a steam.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-x-large-font-size\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong><em>\u201cI think we\u2019re all tired.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#df2082\" class=\"has-inline-color\">In one or two sentences what has the last 12 months been like?<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cFor me the last 12 months has been musically my best to date. I\u2019ve genuinely achieved some dreams I\u2019ve held for years.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cPlaying festivals and going on tour with my <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/index.php\/2024\/01\/26\/gin-annie-not-gonna-take-it-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Gin Annie<\/a><\/strong> boys has been the best and most rewarding experiences of my life. That tied in with the release of this track on top of <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">\u2018June\u2019<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"> last year.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cI feel I\u2019m personally evolving as an artist and performer, and I am looking forward to what the future holds in all of my creative projects.\u201d.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cI\u2019m grateful to my support network of my family and friends and musically, to my lads in <strong>Gin Annie<\/strong> (especially <strong>Lewis Turner<\/strong>) and my other musical brothers in arms of <strong>Thomas Ruston <\/strong>and <strong>Ryan sparrow<\/strong>.
