But even with this the sport has endured and some could say has thrived with new promotions popping up and pre-established ones getting more success across the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All across the UK and across Worcestershire and the West Midlands smaller independent (indie) wrestling promotions have started up. Evesham has EVM Wrestling, Cheltenham has the Underground Wrestling Revolution and the social media star Succubus has recently launched her own promotion called Nebula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although being more prominent over in the States bigger more international promotions have started to cross the pond once more. 2023 saw <a href=\"https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/index.php\/2024\/02\/09\/could-2024-be-tnas-most-impact-ful-year-yet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">TNA Wrestling<\/a> return to our shores with their <a href=\"https:\/\/frownedupon.net\/index.php\/2024\/01\/26\/impact-wrestlings-2023-uk-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">UK Invasion Tour<\/a>. More recently TNA star and the \u2018Local Hero\u2019 Joe Hendry has reached the top 5 in the UK Downloads Charts with his theme song, \u201cI believe in Joe Hendry\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"&quot;I Believe In Joe Hendry&quot; - Official Music Video (Impact Wrestling 2023)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hb17uaaldwM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Professional wrestling has caused controversy ever since the the Gold Dust Trio, Ed Lewis, Billy Sandow and Joseph Mondt decided to take the sometimes 8 hour long amateur wrestling matches and turn them into shorter affairs with pre-determined finishes and explosive finishing moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UK has produced some incredible stars over the years that have done great things in the squared circle.
