Released on January 27th<\/sup>, 2023,\u00a0Dead Space\u00a0joins the recent wave of reimagining of classic games, just like the\u00a0Resident Evil Series\u00a0and\u00a0Mortal Kombat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dead Space sees you put your engineering rig back on as fan favourite Isaac Clark on the good ship Ishimura, where you find the crew slaughtered and Isaac\u2019s girlfriend Nicole is missing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gunner Wright the original voice actor for Isaac has reprised his role and has also lent his likeness to the character. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This survival horror series has you battle corpses infected by an extraterrestrial infection that mutate said corpses into\u00a0Necromorphs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with any series with monsters of this nature there are different types with different strengths and weaknesses. Luckily the \u201ccreeper\u201d Necromorph are in Dead Space 2, so no more mutated infants blowing up at you\u2026which is only a good thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game has been rebuilt from the ground up in the Frostbite\u2122 game engine with a new level of quality, immersion and more beautifully horrifying experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advances in game technology also means that no play-through will be the same, with different path finding and enemy spawns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These improvement have also been spread to the gross Necromorphs with the new \u201cPeeling System\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new system allows you to \u201cplay with\u201d (using that term loosely) the layers of flesh, tendons and bones during gameplay. This leads to even more gross scenes and even more ways to cut through the waves of the undead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story with a few minor adjustments is as good as the original that kickstarted this series into being a now classic game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have either played this game originally and know the story or this will be your first time, either way this is definitely a one of the grossest and best games this year so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So grab your plasma cutter and turn out the lights for this horror epic, and make the horrors fear you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
