 The 3rd<\/sup> of March saw the release of Word of Mouth\u2019s new single \u2018Sad State of Affairs\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who don\u2019t know Word of Mouth are a fantastic band local to the Worcestershire area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Sad State of Affairs\u2019 is a great indie-alt rock track, with lyrics that I think most people can relate to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The track is about going a little too hard to mask some of those scary deeper feelings and feeling like \u201cI can\u2019t see the wood from the trees.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to talk about a serious issue in the lightest way possible, by making a tune that makes you forget about all of that and enjoy the moment\u201d. -Nick<\/mark><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The lyrics, cadence, key and tempo of the track all fit with the message. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vocals are as great as always and the riffs throughout have that instant catchiness to them just like \u2018Velvet Weekend\u2019, after one listen, you\u2019ll have them playing through your head for the rest of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A local band who put on great performances, sound as good recorded as they do live and put out tune after tune, what\u2019s not to like? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
